I have seen the news re: a new Hero Quest. A great game from my childhood, and I hope they can update it sufficiently so it can match the quality of board games today.

From the kickstarter page (actually Pulse, but same thing, different company), it appears to be pretty much a straight remake of the original, except the miniatures are upgraded. No more cardboard doors and furniture. Now all plastic.

Still got my old HeroQuest set (half painted by the mate of my brother I bought it from). It sees no action now, so I've no interest in the update.
Man, I'm missing board gaming at the moment. Housemate doesn't play games, and so I'm waiting for local lockdowns to relax so my regular gaming buddy can visit again

Thankfully, there are three of us in this house that play games regularly, with another two occasionalists.
But all three of us are missing not being able to go sit in our favourite games cafe and play all day.
And two of us are missing the X-Wing tournaments.

I just wish I could persuade housemate to like games. He'll sometimes play as a slightly unwilling +1, but anything tactical is beyond him - couldn't even grasp Catan (although enjoyed the always hilarious 'getting wood' part. 43 and still a total child...)

If you're missing board gaming in person and are able to do so, I would recommend trying the online versions. We regularly meet online to play with other family members and have a Skype session going at the same time so we can all chat while playing. So far we have done Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, Risk, Small World & Cluedo.

Tried online gaming. Don't like it. It's really not the same. It's the people interaction that is the enjoyable bit, not necessarily the game itself.

I think because I'm naturally asocial anyway, that in-person board gaming is the only thing that'd work for me - voice/video chat is something I steer well clear of! The reason our board game evenings work well is in park down to a little alcohol assistance! Also, if I'm playing online, I might as well just fire up the PS4 in my eyes.
