Autumnleaves
I know the feeling Paula - although I am not really fully fit either so it seems a bit daft to embark on a training programme...

I don’t know what I am right now! I ran with our beginners on Saturday - 2x5k and then 5 miles - over a 3 hour span, and that was OK, but I don’t feel great.

*Whispers* I’ve signed up for the end to end virtual LEJOG. Got almost a year to do it and you can walk or run. :)

um
Took the opportunity of a non rainy spell to take a run ... back home and back raining now.

Baby donks for McG, and puddles for ChrisHB, if he reads this thread?
Forest is now quite wet after 3 or 4 days of rain. What used to be dry shingle is now 6ins to 1ft deep 'raging torrent'*

*or maybe just a fast flowing stream

No black and white cows or pigs, which was the aim of the run.

Funny you should say that Paula, I've literally just signed up for the Gt Run Solo Accumulator - log a minimum of 15 runs between 1st Oct and 31st Oct (even though I only signed up just now, I can back date it to include the runs I've already done this month.) As well as the number of runs there's a mileage element - I'm going for 75 miles. It's not the best virtual event I've seen but it's better than nothing.

In theory, I still have a Half Marathon in November and as it's a small trail one, I think it's quite likely to go ahead.

AR yes I would do it again but there are others I want to do and October next year looks like it will be packed with events to choose from Covid allowing.

Paula, I’ve signed up to a LEJOG challenge too. You can set your own target completion date and then it calculates how much you need to be doing every day and tells you when you’re behind or ahead. You get postcards and stuff and a medal at the end.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
