GWS Millsey!

Good news: I've completed the VRTTS 'marathon'.

Less good news: OH came off his bike this morning, we think it's mostly superficial road grazes (which can be sore enough) and no bones broken but his elbow looks nasty as there's so little flesh there. A bit of an occupational hazard round here, with narrow steep lanes, gravelly edges, van coming up the other way... :-(

GWS Millsey and Mr LD.

My ankle recovery is going well but I might pull out of the 18k trail run on 1st August as it is pretty steep up and down and I'm scared enough of falling at the best of times.

Oh no LD, hope he heals quickly, get him in the sea in a day or 2, sea water's good for that kind of thing - my Mum always swore by it. ;-)

Oh no, big road rash ouchie, the elbow has me wincing from here - sorry :-( fingers crossed no damage that’ll keep him off his bike for long. & a large elbow sized nonsticky nonfluffy dressing.

Wise move with the ankle ITG, mine is currently complaining a year after it decided not to cooperate with my intended turning. Sorry though, lovely race if I’m thinking the right one

Ferret, Súlur vertical is the I one I will probably quit and I have not done it before (though I have run the trail). I'm not quitting on my beautiful Jökulsárhlaup, which is super expensive and non-refundable (and not all that steep, though it has a few 'moments') but I am only doing 13km there.

I can get a refund for Súlur up to 29th July so I can decide after the four forests run on 25th April

Afternoon all. Just back on after OpenReach decided to renew a telegraph pole 100m down the road and left us without phone or internet for 48hrs. No mobile signal here either so we’ll and truly stuck. Cue old school family evenings playing cards. It’s been rather nice in the short moments the teen forgot his life had been ruined 😂 All I a good cause though as they are installing fibre optic- I never thought I’d live to see the day!

Anyway, hope everyone’s assorted hurts GWS

Hello everyone 😊. Been AWOL for a bit due to general meh-ness and not bothering with online stuff. Anyway, back now on new tablet after destroying my old one last week.

Too much to catch up on, but sending hugs, congratulations and commiserations as appropriate xx
