Sunshine - it's all day long in virtual holiday world ... sorry for mass of photos today ...

Another driving day. A shortish trip today, 100 miles from Mendocino to Bodega Bay.

Lots of coast, rocks, views, and more excitingly, getting to places I’ve been to before. And even have my own pics for some of them.

About 15 miles out of Mendocino we get to Elk - and this scenery continues more or less the whole way.

Then, a stop off at Point Arena – for a walk and lighthouse view.

And now – places I have been to before, 10 years ago, on a weekend break from working in Cupertino (now the site of the Apple donut)

Russian river and more Ca coast …and real pics from me, not google earth or other web sources.

And then into Bodega Bay (pop 1027) and according to my guidebook 'popular' for whale watching and seafood.
But famous for …

Although the filming was actually in Bodega, a few miles away. The school building is still there, if anyone wants to re-enact scenes. The web is awash with them – a bit like the Abbey Road zebra crossing, I think it’s an offence to visit Bodega and not run down the road, arms waving, screaming, chased (possibly) by a seagull. Carry a chip if you want to live dangerously (pies, pasties, ice cream cones will also do the trick if US seagulls are like UK ones)

Anyway – enough for today, we’re here for 3 nights, so the airbnb, run routes, ‘worlds best clam chowder’ will have to wait till tomorrow.

Fragile Do Not Bend
Morning! I’m loving seeing the photos um :)

I’m going to give Pilgrim half some consideration. As it happens that weekend we have a hotel reservation in Fareham (not Farnham - that’s not going to get confusing at all) as we were going to be going to a motor racing event at Goodwood that’s now cancelled. So a lot closer than coming from home. Only downside is that my husband will have to find something to do to amuse himself.

What's her name? Nice pink paws - will she be a house cat, or an Icelandic hunter?
