PS Columba: the Dead Sea is fascinating but uber-hot, arid and not very child-friendly. We're heading for the Sea of Galilee tomorrow for a couple of nights: cooler (about 30C rather than 40C+), freshwater and a lot more toddler-suitable. I'll keep an eye out for JC's fisherman recruitment agency...

Dooogs I have a photo of me in late teens floating in the Dead Sea reading a newspaper strange experience. Visited Tel aviv & the spot Jesus was born and Eilat had a short break while serving in Cyprus

Morning. I wonder if I could get 8 miles done today? It would vaguely reassure me that the 10 mile race on Sept 9th will be ok.
The only things stopping me are inertia and a sore knee.

This thread really does gallop along
Ankle feeling a bit tender this morning. I tweaked it slightly in a goalpost hole at parkrun but it felt ok Saturday.
Jet lag not bad at all, although waking up at 7 on a bank holiday is a bit annoying! Kids are waking up early too, but not too worried as if it lasts another week and a bit it will make getting up for school easier. Eldest starts secondary so much excitement in the PH household!

Take a few days off to support daughter on South Coast Challenge (100km, Eastbourne to Srundel) and the thread has 200 posts. Walked a few sections with her & friend, and fortunately they finished Sunday morning about 10:00, 15 mins before the rain started
