I thought I saw you jabberknit. You seemed in good spirits. Not an easy day in that heat. Well done.

Were you there, FenlandR? Can't say I felt in good spirits - my body just didn't want to do any of that there running stuff. I think Milton Keynes has its own tropical micro-climate, I'm quite sunburnt! |

I'm planning to run the Hebridean Trail later in the year, expect to take 8-9 days to do it, so I'll need to carry clothes etc. So I'm after recommendations for running rucksacks. Probably should start a separate thread. |

My rucksack today was a tiny, it was a 5 litre Montane Fang 5. Dependent on how much space you need the Montane Dragon 20 is a good bit of kit. |

Jono.
Hi Fetchlings nice stuff going on as usual sounds like a great adventure Cerrertonia - are you camping or planning overnight stays? getting a bit fed up, had a bit of a Fracas in work and the upshot (apart from scratches to the face - drunk female) my hamstring took another pull / strain - didn't feel good last night or this morning. getting royally fed up with it all - the leg that is - and any attempt to try and get running again. |

Sounds mighty unpleasant Jono. Fountains Abbey parkrun on the other had is a stunner |

Just what you don't need Jono, awful that. Steady bit faster than marathon pace parkrun today. Hope it's a bit cooler next weekend! |

Overnight stays, Jono. It does complicate the logistics somewhat in that you have to reach a specific place every evening, so no scope for doing more or less on any given day. I've done multi-day hikes with camping before and although one can legally wild camp in Scotland, I think the combination of midges + likely wind/wet weather + having to run with a tent makes me tend towards the soft option This website has the route etc. hebrideanway.co.uk |
