There is no way SE England is as Trendy as Stockport. The funniest thin about Bracknell is the oldest thing there were the roundabouts.

Well done on the mileage, WS. Mr JK used to work for Fujitsu Consulting. I have never knowingly been to Bracknell. I have spent the day running 9 laps round Willen Lake in Milton Keynes. It was blowing an absolute hoolie, so running down one side of the lake was fine as it was behind me, but then running back along the other side directly into it was like doing one of those mime things, pretending to run, but not actually going anywhere. It rained for the last 2 laps also. However, I am feeling smugly pleased with myself, as it was my 20th marathon of the year. The drive home was horrible, up the M1 in the dark, with pouring rain and spray from all the lorries - that was far more stressful than running the marathon. |

Concurrently, today's blog from McGoohan features Bracknell content fetcheveryone.com/blog-view.php?id=137 For orienteering, the Great Hollands estate makes a great urban orienteering area, and the whole Swinley Forest bit is also good, but yes, it's a nightmare otherwise. I used to have a friend who lived in a village north of Brighton and the shortest cycling route there from Oxford involved a tour of the Bracknell/Bagshot roundabouts and urban dual carriageways. Not pleasant. |

Great Hollands...very close to where I lived. In fact I first dabbled in running back then......treadmill as I still played football and needed the odd recovery jog.

JK you are awesome. I've never been to Bracknell. I don't think I'll put it on my to do list. |

Merry Christmas and Happy NewG(rrr)
Well done JK. Top marathoning. I hate motorway driving in heavy traffic and dark and rain / snow. Glad you got back safe. GG
