I've just realised I'm only 2 and a half miles shy of the 600 for the year. Tomorrow is a rest day. Must hide trainers. Resist!

Another lovely hot sunny day and I ran 8 miles in the forest this morning with a club mate. I'm 3 miles short of 200k for my Garmin Connect badge.

That's for May, not for a week! It's a strava challenge badge, not Garmin Connect.

Well done hillstrider, 200k badge awaiting, perhaps a little 3 mile jaunt this evening when it may be a little cooler.
Someone hide Marks shoes for a long while because he keeps running away from me and I can't seem to make any inroads into catching him. I even tried virtually tying his laces together but he just did an extra run to rub my nose in it.
12.3 miles today, the same route as last Sunday but in reverse. It was rather warm out with a lot of breeze in the open flat lands of the fens.
New shoes delivered on Friday which I shall have to wear in a bit before any longer runs in them, ahh perhaps I shall have to run every day next week just to wear these new trainers in and do my usual runs too in my old shoes, just a thought.
Has anyone hidden Marks shoes yet?

Thanks FF, I'm tempted to go out again, but after a big lunch and a glass or 3 of red wine, don't think it would be a good idea. I saw a pair of trainers in a bin this morning, but don't know whether they were Marks. What brand and model are your new shoes?
By the way, well done for your 12.3 miles today.

hillstrider, Saucony omni Iso 2. I slightly over pronate apparently. This is my 2nd pair of these. I've had 3 other Saucony, 3 Mizuno, 3 Hoka an Adidas and some others. I always ran in silver shadow 30 years ago for the couple of half marathons I did and then gave up running until 6 years ago.

Happy June, everyone! Time to go and get my red heart now.
Don't think I've lost a pair of trainers, so the binned ones weren't mine! I did feel a ghostly tugging at my feet, FF, but decided to ignore it.

Silver Shadow and the classier x4 were the trainers of the day FF. I still have a pair which I wear a few times a year ... just for the hell of it! The British Army had their soldiers run in them. Now I'm in Saucony Jazz which are horrible and Hokas which are pretty good. Hope that red heart is in the bag Mmm.

Sure is Steve.
Remembered a couple of miles in that I was crossing the 600 mile mark for the year. More or less on the River Ouse at my turnaround point!
(And I also realised, I'm using elastic laces these days, so tying them together is just resistance training, FF!)
