Sorry to hear about the Covid Evangel, and just as you were making a comeback. Take it easy and don't run again until you are fully recovered. EP, sorry that by not running yesterday you just missed the golden 1000. Just the usual Friday Farmers Walk this morning. |

Thank you all for your good wishes. At the moment I'm not feeling too bad - just rather drained of energy and a muzzy head, plus occasional bouts of coughing. I hope to be back running soon, just as soon as I am no longer 'positive'.

Well run on your various outings everyone, phew, especially in the current heat. Get well quickly Evangel, yes, covid is quite common around here again. I'm sure you'll recover satisfactorily and won't have the lingering lung issue I managed to acquire which has been put down to covid . Goodness knows when my appointment at the thoracic clinic will come through. 1000 miles in 365 days is splendid EPix. I wouldn't have enjoyed a Farmer's Walk in this heat hs so we'll done you. No run today. Interesting re postal rates and other price increases over the years: the more sophisticated the tech the more cost to the consumer! And a lot more delays in all sorts of ways. |

I hope that you won't have to wait much longer for your appointment with the thoracic clinic Steve. The card that I posted Wednesday morning with a first class stamp, arrived this afternoon. In the past, 1st class more or less guaranteed next day delivery. |

Maybe you should chase up your appointment? Or see if you can be put on a list for a cancellation appointment Steve. Seems like you have been waiting quite a while. You will get the 1000 Pix 😊. Been really hot here today, went to the beach in the afternoon wasn't much cooler on the coast. Hoping it cools down a bit tomorrow. Have a good weekend everyone. |

It was only 17th May I had confirmation of being referred to thoracic clinic Lesley; it does seem a long while but I was expecting a wait of around six months! I can't figure how slow mail can be. Indeed the old single tier postage which existed into the late 1960's guaranteed a next day delivery anywhere in the country! That was without the so called speedier motorways, electronic systems and also millions more letters! Ok there were Mail Trains but some bright spark thought motorway trucks were better. Oh... and there were two deliveries a day too! Very warm down here although morning temperature 2c less at 18c than lately. Another 4.25 miles on trails which are now beginning to have their autumn leaf carpet laid! Still run/walk but enjoyed it . |
