You’re flying Loo well done!! Great cycling too.

We’ll done on the race FF, for me enjoyment is key I am never the fastest and happy not to chase the clock these days just to know I’ve done my best.

I got out a bit later than planned done 7.8m (rounding up) last one down here for this holiday. Ended off running the last 3/4m with another lady I met on the track we pushed each other along while we chatted (you’ll see by my stats 🤣) it makes a difference as I wouldn’t say I noticed I was going particularly faster.

Well done FF, Steve, and Congratulations LL for your PB for that parkrun course.

Nice running GG for your 7.8 miles this morning. It is surprising how running with someone really helps to push the pace, without feeling any harder.

My parkrun this morning was a personal worse by a long way. I don't know whether it was the high temperature, but my breathing was laboured and I had to resort to a bit of Jeff Gallowaying now and again.

Terrific running Looby Loo a course PB after 11 years, fantastic.

Well done all for running this morning, it's certainly a warm one. I met scottdog this morning at parkrun, good to see him again. Perhaps next time I can run with you or chase your shadow if you're going for it.

You've been running well lately hillstrider and this morning was very warm for a faster run.

It was an actual parkrun PB. But not a 5k PB.
HS with your experience you’ll know that some days it’s not meant to be.

That’s running I’m never sure what will happen on any day. Well done for finishing when you weren’t feeling your best.

I definitely notice the difference in the heat.

A PB is fabulous either parkrun or other race, after 11yrs is magnificent.

Thanks FF, LL and GG for your understanding of the effects heat can have on ones performance. My throat and mouth felt dry before the start, so I wasn't surprised when the wheels came off 🙃

LL, I think I must have been, despite drinking several extra glasses of water the day before.

LL, well done on a parkrun PB. Sadly I shall never achieve that again, as I am undergoing a general age-related slowing down at all distances. However I hope to eventually start doing parkruns again.

In common with some other runners, I felt the effects of the warmer weather today, and I had to shorten my run.
