Thanks Steve she was so happy it was lovely to see. I’ll probably get her to do 2 a week no more than a 1/4m increase until she sees how it reacts

GG, good to hear that your mum's knee seems to be ok now.
I ran the Bartley parkrun this morning for the second time and was 40 seconds quicker. My time was 27.46 and I was first male in my age category, and 73rd out of 132. WAVA was 69.48%.
I hope your parkrun went well LL!

Well done HS. Great to beat your time and win your age. Nice WAVA. I actually ran my best pace this year but because it’s such a big field started back and ran 3.18 for 29:20 fetch tells me it was a 28:30 5k. Happy with it anyway.
Good news on GM’s injury.
Lesley wishing your little man a lovely birthday. Well done Steve and FF. Sorry if I’ve missed anyone.

Great running hs & LL
Out for 10 this morning felt ok but a bit slower than I’d hoped for possibly not helped with the clammy weather. Got back to the boat as it started to rain but a brief light shower only.

Soggy one this morning, was sunny when I left the house at 7.10 and by 8.45 it was raining. Did enjoy the walk setting up.
Hopefully get a run in tomorrow. Been lots of torrential downpours the last couple of days, hoping it changes.
Well done on your parkrun times, and anyone else who was out this morning. Hope your mum can manage some more runs GG.

Just had a close out call with coach Sophie. She has made my running much more efficient and I’m kind of sad that it’s come to a close but I think with 6months of plans I don’t think I’d get much more going forward. I may well sign up for a months coaching for an event in the future as there’s so much to learn.
I am going to set myself a training plan using this here fetch planning tool. I’ve learnt so much I’m grateful I heard her that day.
Thank you for all the good wishes for geordiemum she is feeling good after yesterday so fingers crossed.

That's a lot of seconds off a 5k hs, still got more than a spring in your pace. Great pace there for you too LL. I'm reasonably ok with continuing plodding towards the 1,000 but at some point I know it would be wiser to re introduce some quality stuff which for me would inevitably be lower mileage for a while. But that's only going to happen after my heart is checked out. Four miles this morning was nowhere near clammy and actually fairly chilly at 12c.

9 more this morning, did my route in reverse to get a couple of inclines in the last mile of my run. If I'd ran it normally I'd have had no inclines at all. My undulating race is this coming Friday evening.

Well done on finding an incline FF none on my run around godmanchester today.
A lovely route around a lake and nature reserve dodging cows and my last run on my coaching plan. I managed exactly 1:00:01 and 5.2m. Heading off to Brampton next. We were going to head to St Neots but opted for a more relaxing few days staying local.
