Donnie 1, well done for running to the parkrun, completing it, and running back again. I'm sure that you will meet your 1100 miles target this year.

Thanks Steve, I believe that I mentioned several years ago, that when I worked at the top of Portsdown Hill, one of my running friends said " he really strides up that hill."

Well done for this mornings 2 miles in the dark and pouring rain. Thanks for posting that article. You must be very pleased to still be running/walking. I'm sure that you feel better each time when you get back.

You have made amazing progress Peter, and 750 miles for the year will be very impressive.

I ran a solo 5k on roads this morning in torrential rain. I had to dodge the spray being produced by cars being driven through the laying rain water. It wasn't a very enjoyable experience 😕

Thanks FF and hs.
Just over 5k all on roads this early morning. It was a bit chilly although I'm still wearing shorts on my walk/ runs on most mornings. It was back to a struggle with the run but it goes like that for lots of runners. The brisk walking sections were so much better! My plan of doing weekly intervals ( they'd have to be ridiculously short anyway) is on hold.

Well done Steve for this mornings 5k+ on roads this morning, still wearing shorts. I am too, but wearing a thermal top under my t-shirt, gloves and woolly hat.

This morning I ran 6.9 miles, "grr" with Sarah F and Mike on roads. Mike led, choosing the route, and varying the pace.

It was milder than yesterday, sunny 🌞 and rain free.

6.1 this morning which leaves me just shy of 22 to do to reach 1000. I only did 10 miles in November so I hope I find a bit more motivation this month.

6 miles this morning still mild although the breeze seems to be picking up now.

Calf felt a bit niggly, been ignoring the calf raises recently 🙄.

YTD 1241 miles.

Well done FF for todays 6.1 miles. I think that the remaining 22 miles during December should be a good motivator.

Well done MrHSc for this mornings 6 miles. Be careful with that niggly calf.

I might have worn shorts but my top half could've done with an extra layer because of the wind. It's always gloves and a head covering for me , I have periodic Raynaud's and it can strike out of the blue at anything below 8 or 9c. What a wreck!! Glad I'm not up there in Peter's chilly location!

I hope you don't do what happened at the end of the "Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner" FF! Well done on a good run today. You too Mr HSc and indeed don't be cavalier with that calf.
6.9 miles hs😁.. just another minute to be comfortable!! Good distance though.

@steve45

I hope you don't do what happened at the end of the "Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner" FF!

I've not read the book so I don't know if I will or won't 😂
