Another 5 miles today.
Just spotted I've ticked over the 10,000 Fetch miles since 2008. Not bad considering I'd a few very lean years with having my kids.

What's the challenge Dave?
Well done slowblonde, impressive especially with having had kids.
2 runs in a day is impressive too, I'd probably think I'd done enough having done 1 run.

Slowblonde, I've done a similar number of miles since joining Fetch, without the many added complications from having babies! Mind you, that would have been a miracle since we're both in our 70s!

Dave, good luck but don't break yourself doing it.
I've just looked at my logged miles and I have to admit to running 7200 since I joined Fetch in 2014 and roughly started running in very late 2013
It must be the marathon training, I've trained for 5 but only run 3. I'm very surprised at the mileage I've accumulated in less than 7 years

Food before a run?! Ok..going back a few comments-- because I run quite early in the morning I rarely if ever have anything to eat excepta cup of tea and a biscuit! Of course I don't do the higher miles that most folks do here and don't really need that much extra energy. IF I'm going to run into double figure miles I'll sometimes carry a sandwich but those occasions don't happen very often but breakfast itself makes me feel even more sluggish than I am!! I think I've logged around 11,000 miles on Fetch but my total running miles are 37,000 odd now. Good timing for the 500 Dave.

a bit of virtual parkrun pacing today with our club, a bit of fun. I was on 27mins, and clocked a 26:50, so happy
Keep pushing on and stay safe

Pothunter--it might not be lack of food that makes you light headed when you stop. Some years ago the army did an experiment: participants were instructed to run a few kms. At the end they were told to stop and stand still. Several almost passed out, some did. It's to do with the heart and all that...not the grub and all that! I think.
