Hooray! Katie and me are off to Club La Santa later on today I'm not saying it to brag - they're paying for our accommodation and grub` in exchange for me writing some blogs about my experiences. As per last time, I'll be trying to give you a 'warts and all' view of the place - although last time, we pretty much loved it, and it says a lot that we're excited to be going back. A few days ago, I posted a blog moaning about our house insurance.
We live about 200m from the River Ouse (although it's never flooded our house, which is about 90 years old), and Katie sees lots of physio clients at home each week. So as a result, lots of insurance companies either say a flat NO, or want to charge the earth.
Since living here, we've accepted that we would have to pay a bit more than we were used to - so in our first year, it was £65 per month with Legal and General. The following year they put it up to £85 a month. Gulp! But we let it ride. Then we got this year's letter, and they wanted £141 per month According to their database, and despite our protestations, we're at a greater risk of flooding now. I finished an angry phone call with them by suggesting that I was going to take all my possessions upstairs and await the apocalypse.
We tried all the usual places - Go Compare the Supermeerkat and all that shizzle, none of which left us feeling especially epic.
Anyway... one desperate blog later, and we had some solid suggestions and support from Fetchies, including a recommendation to speak to the NFU. The upshot is that we've just cancelled our L&G policy, and saved ourselves £92 PER MONTH in the process by switching to the NFU.
Thank you, thank you, thank you lovely Fetchies. You are ALL epic
EDIT: I've changed the video to this much better one that you can sing along to

I stuck this in the forum, but I'm posting it in my blog too, in the hope that someone can help...
We are getting shafted by our current home insurance company. We're near a river, but according to all rational sources, we're not in any great danger of flooding. We know we might have to pay a bit more than normal, because Katie treats physio clients at the house - but our premium has SHOT up in the last year, and we're pretty fed up with it.
Are there any Fetchie insurance brokers out there?

Have you actually phoned and spoke to someone? My parents had a similar problem when they tried to renew their home insurance. The online form were asked if they lived within 2 miles of a river to which they answered yes. Their insurance premium then went sky high. However, when my dad spoke to someone and explained that whilst they did live within 2 miles of a river they were on the top of a hill and if they flooded 85% of the south east of England would be under water! They then got a sensible quotation.westmoors1:06pm, 21st May 2015

I second Hiscox. Different reasons in my case (listed building) but they covered (and at good price) when others wouldn't.EarlyRiser3:52pm, 21st May 2015
-
Hiscox again. Most of the "big" companies are so automated that your location will automatically flag as a flood risk (computer says no....) and you're unlikely to be able to talk to someone with any expertise or discretion. That's where a specialist like Hiscox, or a broker will earn their keep.Duchess8:22pm, 21st May 2015
-
Biba.org.uk will allow you to search for a specialist broker who can assist with coverage within a flood zone. But I'm sure there's a Fetch insurance broker....Duchess8:30pm, 21st May 2015
-
Try looking on the Environment Agency website. They have flood maps available on line that will tell you whether or not you are in a flood zone. If you contact them directly you should be able to get a flood report for your property, although there may be a charge for the report. If you can prove you are not in a flood zone or you are in a low risk area it should help you to reduce your premium.Murphey
I hope it helps.12:15am, 22nd May 2015 -

A timely blog. We're moving to share the same flood risk as you, but in a darker blue...Helegant12:40pm, 22nd May 2015

Try Aviva - (I'll declare an interest, although I don't work in their Home/General Insurance side) - they have (accurate) flood mapping software & statistical modelling directly connected to the quotation engine. If you're getting a quote from there it'll be based on latest "official" probability. If you don't like the premium, try a few other things (will work with most insurers) - Do you have other products with them? Ask for multi product discount (it may come off the "other" rather than your home insurance, but the net result is the same). Or if you've got evidence on non-flooding during times other properties did, try asking if you can go through "manual" underwriting rather than the automated solution.3M
There's also a Governent/DoE/ABI scheme called Flood Re being set up - abi.org.uk - you might get some help there, but I don't think it's quite landed yet.3:35pm, 22nd May 2015 -

Wow - there were dozens of comments on my last blog - thank you
One of the things that came up regularly was the ability to edit forum posts. I have to say, I'm not in favour of it. My concern is that it could easily be misused, and the complexity involved in coding something that would preserve all versions of each post could cause more problems than it solves. I'm not closed off to the idea, but I'd like to understand the reasoning behind the request. I can see two reasons really:
1) to correct annoying spelling / punctuation / grammar / autocorrect
2) to retract or change stuff you regret.
I've made a quick poll to get your feedback:
http://www.fetcheveryone.com/polls-view.php?id=4862
There are also some options for those of you that don't care, or have some other reason for wanting it If you're in the latter camp, leave a comment.

I just want to be able to tidy up posts that look scruffy - typos and that. But I agree with you, I'm broadly against an edit function because I can see ways in which that could make entire threads look scruffy.Velociraptor11:52am, 20th May 2015

I voted for 1) then realised it really ISN'T that important. I wonder if, when it comes down to it, others will have a similar realisation - because I trust in the soundness of your opinion - ie you don't like it. Incidentally - as I remember it - the RW version only let you edit within an hour or so. Which always seemed fair enough.Sharkie11:52am, 20th May 2015

I'd only see a use for correcting spelling errors and similar. Having said that, some of the funniest posts are where autocorrect has taken over - I'd hate to lose those chances of humour! Overall, I'd leave it as it is.Alice the Camel11:59am, 20th May 2015

We need to be able to edit so we can sort grammar, spelling, capitalistation in other people's posts. I don't see the need for it and feel it could cause more problems than it solves. A double post is not the end of the world, if you make a spelling mistake, an autocorrect entry or grammar error, post again and get it right second time. Upon further reflection, I think the appropriate saying is "you're never going to please all the people all of the time". It's fantastic that you asked us all in your previous blog for suggestions on how we'd like to see the site improved, but as Sharkie said in the second comment on this blog, it's your site and we "trust in the soundness of your opinion". If we look back at the past, whenever you change anything on the site a high proportion of the initial comments are quite often negative but we all learn to love your changes.Nelly9:05am, 21st May 2015

My favourites are, in no particular order, the training log, the training plan, the route planner, and the race finder.Jigs
I'd like to see the route planner have the conquersize grid overlayed (not necessarily your owned/visited zones) for more efficient zone collecting route planning. Thank you please.8:40pm, 18th May 2015 -
Favourite bits? Love the forums, but I'd like to sometimes see more than 10 posts per page - perhaps 25? I'd like to be able to edit too - but not that fussed. I also love the icons (obviously, since I curate the icon gallery in the thread) and would dearly love to boost the iconocount to 64 very soon as this has been the longest period without a new one!JamieKai *chameleon*9:02pm, 18th May 2015

As many others have said, it's a fantastic site with many more good bits than those that need improving That said (and again I think I'm mostly repeating what others have said) my wish list would include:-Nelly
- load elevation data automatically
- edit forum posts (and include a "Edited at 21:12 01/01/15" stamp to identify an edit, but not delete the whole post)
- ability to quote part/all of a post (great idea Gus!)
- hide individual threads (I know you can hide Tabs but there's some great "Friday" threads and some not so great ones that fill the front page of the forum)10:50am, 19th May 2015 -
Allow each training entry to record the type of run and intensity. i.e.: by using the same information in the drop down list from the training category field (red box on the exercise data page) as two separate data fields. This will allow a breakdown such as “long-run & steady state” or “medium long run & tempo” or “mumbling & easy”.The Ant Hill Mob12:43pm, 19th May 2015

Can I have another on my wishlist please - agree with AJPAR above, that I don't like that the pace graph of a run is skewed if you stop then re-start your watch at some point, ie the graphs ( and your generated splits ) are going on total elapsed time, rather than active time. If I wanted total elapsed time to show, I wouldn't stop my watchK5 Gus3:22pm, 19th May 2015

Training log for, although since the Garmin Connect auto-connectivity thing has some along less so... as the times now always need adjusting and the pace graph is wrong if you pause the Garmin mid-run.TZ3:42pm, 19th May 2015

When you add a route, have the drop down box so that you can save it in the relevant category. It would be nice to be able to cut and paste bits of routes together or somehow be able to edit them without having to undo all the later clicks, but i expect i'm asking too much there.Chrisity
What is great? The ambiance, training log, forum and in particular you.3:46pm, 19th May 2015 -
Thinking about it again I'd like to see better information on height gained/lost. Both because it requires a click through to register at all and because (as touched on & explained to me a while ago on some thread or other) the sample rate is fixed per activity rather than per hour or mile so if I ride my bike 100 miles on gently rolling hills it misses much of it & radically under records.Winded5:46pm, 19th May 2015

best bit:training log. Improve: my ideal is that fetch will magically track my training as I do it and upload it all so I don;t need to plug in my garmin and transfer, so kind of like aRuthB2

How about route merge thing? Work out which of our routes are (mostly) the same and combine/group them under a common route with past performance. Sounds a bit Strava-ish but I have never used it. Then maybe extend to super-routes which would be like super-hospitals but more popular (parkruns would be common super-routes).Nightjar12:56pm, 20th May 2015

Still finding my feet, but all of it is great. Especially the race finder and portfolio. Would be cool to be able to link races logged with entries in the portfolio. Also maybe a temporary forum post edit (?until a reply has been posted) to fix glaring face-palm mistakes!StuH2:07pm, 20th May 2015

I love the training log and forums, would like conquercise to be a bit easier to use. (have already had a response to my feedback!) but want to see how many runs I need in certain zones to claim it, or warnings that someone is close to stealing a zone. Map - can you get OSM option rather than just satellite or map view, which again would be really handy for conquercise and fetchpoint.Star3:58pm, 20th May 2015
Now that I'm on the fancy pants London Marathon media list, I get various press releases from them. The stats from today's email are interesting. Previously, the ballot was capped at 125,000 entrants, but this year they kept it open for a whole five days, with no cap. So there are 247,069 people in the 2016 ballot.
There were 38,000 runners in 2015 - but as @Cammy26_2 and @christofflennon were first to point out on Twitter, only about 10-15,000 of those runners come via the ballot - the rest are charity runners, and GFA runners. So the odds of getting a ballot place are going to be about 1 in 20, which is a bit galling if you're pinning your hopes on it.
They also say that 55% of the applicants have never run a marathon before - which one could easily view with cynicism, but I prefer to think about just how inspiring it can be to see a mass participation event on the telly - and just how popular running could be if there was more of it. We're lucky really - I can't think of any other sport or event that's open to all standards of participants that has any sort of television coverage. If only 1 in 20 of those non-marathoners get in (just shy of 7000 of them), that's still 130,000 unfulfilled marathon wannabes. The trick is to find them something to do, and don't lose them for another year. Of course, just because they're non-marathoners doesn't mean they're non-runners - but they're clearly thirsty for more suffering
Another cool stat was that 42% of the applicants were women. Back in 1981, there were less than 300 out of a field of 6255 - less than 5%. I don't know if there's been any sort of a jump as a result of #thisgirlcan, but it certainly seems that marathon running (at least the big screen version) is in a fairly healthy state in gender terms.
Good luck if you're in

Maybe other events could be boosted if London had some kind of bare minimum qualifying standard: say having run a 6:30 marathon or 3 hour half. That could give quite a lot of races an entry boost of sometimes a few hundred and keep the completely unprepared out of the ballot.Dvorak1:35pm, 15th May 2015

Sorry I disagree Dvorak, the reason I ran London as my first (on a charity place) was because it was a big event with no cutoff and I felt included, and knew I wouldn't be last. I wouldn't have run another event to be able to get in to London. However, smaller events will likely feel the boost from people like me later, as they look for subsequent events.Meglet1:50pm, 15th May 2015

I do think, that of you are GFA, and you run london, you are then not allowed to run it for 3,4,5 years. I suppose you could argue it would dilute it as a "race", but it isnot a race really, it's an ope event. I also think there is a mindset difference from running a "marathon", to running the "London marathon".Ocelot Spleens4:31pm, 15th May 2015

Do the stats say where the entrants come from? My preference for limiting numbers would be to give Londoners priority: it's a great opportunity to bring the City together and closer to the ideals of the original New York marathon. If people from other places also had priority for their own local event, it would keep running closer to the communityBru-Bru6:51pm, 15th May 2015

This could easily be a reference to the fact that I've had my wisdom tooth taken out today, so I'm a bit spaced out off the back of the anaesthetic, and all the subsequent painkillers. But it's not. Yesterday I had a go on an AlterG treadmill (the 'G' implying g-force).
The treadmill goes round the country to various fitness shows, gadget shows, and to be demoed to various sports clubs and the like. I should point out from the start that I'm not trying to persuade you to go out and buy one. The 'cheap' one (which goes up to 19km/hr) is about £35k, and the big boss sprinty one is closer to £50k. They are de rigueur at premiership football and rugby clubs, and there's a long list of elite runners who use them.
There's a NASA back story first, as Trevor (nice friendly man) opens up the trailer that contains the treadmill. Apparently they were looking for ways to allow astronauts to exercise in zero gravity. The stuff that NASA came up with didn't really work (they settled for attaching the astronauts to their treadmills with bungee cords in the end) , but it got picked up by some running coaches, who had the idea of reversing the polarity in the Jenkins tube, or somesuch, allowing high-end runners to increase their training volume by taking some of the impact off their legs. It makes sense. If you can run 100 miles a week on the roads before your legs start to complain about the impact, then maybe you could run 80 miles on the roads, and 40 miles with a reduced bodyweight.
Running on the treadmill requires you to don a pair of silly shorts. They're a bit like wetsuit material, but with something like a hoop at the waist, with a zip around the edge. You clamber onto the machine, into a large sturdy bag, and your shorts are then zipped to the bag, cocooning your legs in an airtight bubble. The bag is hoisted up by a metal frame, and inflated with air until the pressure literally lifts you onto your toes, enabling the machine to calibrate itself to your weight.
Beyond that, it's almost exactly like a regular treadmill, with the usual speed and incline controls, but there's a third pair of buttons that enables you to control your own weight - or to be specific, the amount of weight that your legs have to carry. Trevor gets me walking along on the treadmill, and when I'm comfortable (the shorts are fine, and despite my misgivings, there seems to be plenty of room for my enormous Kenyan stride ;-)), he drops my body weight down to 90%. There's a wee bit of a squishing feeling around my undercarriage as the bag inflates and settles itself, and I can feel a bit of difference in my ankles straight away. It's impressive, but not as much as when he sticks me back up to 100%, and my legs pick up the strain again.
Over the next ten minutes, I get to play around with the controls myself, ramping it up until I'm running at my 5k PB pace, and then chipping away at my weight percentage until I feel like I'm gliding along, before piling the weight back on again, and feeling the weight of my torso come squishing down on top of my legs. It's quite fascinating, and well worth trying it out if there happens to be one near you - there's a search tool on the AlterG website: alterg.com
In my hour with Trevor, I learned about lots of interesting applications - from the expected stories of rehab, through to some high-end conditioning stuff that athletes use the machine for. In particular, I liked the story about the rugby players with tight hamstrings, who would work out their maximum running speed, then set the machine up to enable them to surpass that speed, to work on lengthening their hamstrings to prevent further issues. It also appears that some aspects of bad gait are exascerbated when body weight is reduced - so in combination with video analysis, it can help to identify causes of injury. And Trevor pointed out that although you can achieve some of the effects of the treadmill using hydrotherapy, it doesn't allow you to run freely, whereas the machine does.
Like I say, I'm not trying to persuade you to buy one - and I'm not enough of a sports scientist to give it my seal of approval. But as your fellow layman, I can certainly say that it was a lot of fun, and a fascinating experience.
Right, I'm off for a bowl of jelly

I'm playing about with a spreadsheet - you know, the sort of thing I like doing... and looking at a few weeks of results from our local parkrun. If you tick up through the minutes, and count the number of finishers, a typical week looks something like this:
17 mins = 2 runners finished (0.7% of the field)
18 mins = 3 runners finished (1%)
19 mins = 13 runners finished (4.5%)
20 mins = 17 runners finished (5.9%)
etc, all the way down to typically something like
30 mins = 225 runners finished (78%)
35 mins = 269 runners finished (93%)
40 mins = 285 runners finished (98%)
51 mins = 291 runners finished (100%)
If you plot this on a graph, it generates a nice sigmoid curve And if you do it for several weeks, that sigmoid curve is a similar shape each time.
Bedford has a bit of an incline that you have to go up three times - so it's not the easiest parkrun course out there, but neither is it the hardest by any means. It got me wondering whether the characteristics of the curve would be different for a harder race.
Long story short, what's the hilliest, meanest parkrun course that you've done? I'm not looking for specific weeks, where the weather or ground conditions played a part. I'm looking for one that's consistently tough.

Darley parkrun in Derby has a hill that you go up twice....it costs me about 1 minute on my time!PeteFastFeet6:30pm, 11th May 2015

Banstead has a killer hill that you have to do twice, but then you do get the benefit of twice coming down the other side.McGoohan
Reigate is quite undulating but the worst bit is coming back downhill along the *edge* of the camber so you need a longer right leg than left!
Tilgate has one killer hill at just before halfway that if you take it too fast wipes you out for the rest of the run.
I wonder if DebbieAB is referring to Killerton which does have a bee-atch hill or two. But it also has nice cows and sheeps so I didn't notice.
Leeds Hyde Park is surprisingly hard because although it's not the worst hill I've done, you do have to do it three times.6:38pm, 11th May 2015 -
I've done 31 different ones, my vote is for Lanhydrock in Cornwall or Cuerden valley in Lancashire. I've also done Wimpole and Killerton would say the above two are meanerndellar7:01pm, 11th May 2015

Ashton Court has a 2.5km climb then 2.5km descent. It is probably the course with the greatest overall uphill but is overall a pretty fast one.Magpie Rob8:46pm, 11th May 2015

cuerden and Lyme park are far tougher than Wimpole, Leamington, etc. I'd have thought the former has more ascent/descent but is still faster for most road runners than Lyme Park as that is more like a mini fell race.flanker8:53pm, 11th May 2015

Hackworth, very twisty turny, canny hill all of which you do multiple times. Gateshead is pretty tough too.Anna Bomb9:12pm, 11th May 2015
-
Agree with Flanker that Lyme Park is tough as it is a mini fell race where descents can be slow and the persistent climbs at Cuerden make it slow. I would also add Watergrove above Rochdale as being tough too - it is slower than my times at either Lyme Park and Cuerden.missvivvy9:27pm, 11th May 2015

Only done three and they increase in toughness from Chelmsford to St Andrews to Larne. There's a possible link to scenic beauty in the same order.CogNoscensme AHA9:57pm, 11th May 2015

Sheringham Park out and back course has two very sharp climbs. The second is just before the finish. Run Britain rankings gives a score of either 4.9 or 5. An 80 year old told me off for walking up one of them!MsG11:11pm, 11th May 2015

Also there'll be a difference between tarmac courses and muddy off-road courses like Wimpole especially in winterBrianJ12:10am, 12th May 2015

In the south there's Clare parkrun that has a killer hill and it's a three lapper, also Lloyd parkrun in Croydon is very hilly and it's all off road. Take your cross country spikes if you go in the winter.Captain S9:34am, 12th May 2015

not sure if this sort of data is only obtainable via the parkrun people, but would the slowest of the fastest times of all parkruns not indicate the toughest course?GordonG9:46am, 12th May 2015

Lanhydrock is my vote, but I think the Plym Valley parkrun has even slower times than Lanhydrock, and Penrose parkrun does some of the AnResek course which is also tough.Chrisull12:15pm, 12th May 2015

Isn't it just a classic normal distribution, but plotted cumulatively, so it ends up sigmoidal? I doubt the shape will change unless something is so strange as to change it away from a normal distribution ... but harder courses will shift the sigmoid to the right as their mean time is slower, easier ones to the left ... and I expect the standard deviation will be greater for hard courses, as faster runners can cope better than the slower ones, so the slope of the sigmoid will flatten.DrDan12:52pm, 12th May 2015

Great Notley PR near Braintree has a tough hill half way round. Reckon I lose about a minute their compared to my usual PR at Chelmsford which is fairly flat.Ventilator8:30pm, 14th May 2015
The boy played his first ever game of rugby on Sunday - it was real heart-in-the-mouth stuff.
He enjoyed it, and is talking about joining a club for next season. Since he was about 5, he's been doing weekly training sessions with these guys: tagtotsrugby.co.uk - highly recommended if you're anywhere nearby. Now the lure of playing matches is taking him to the next level. I didn't even have to bribe him
On Sunday evening, we watched 'Pay It Forward' - which was quite appropriate really, as on Monday we went to support the runners at the MK Marathon, as a bit of a thank you to everyone who supported us at London. It was a bloody hot day for running - some of the runners were clearly having a hard time, and I thank my lucky stars that we got decent weather when we ran. I hope the MK runners are all recovering well - and it'd be great if you could all pay it on to some runners at a race near you some time soon We also got to wear the new Fetch backpack flags, which are a lot of fun - although I nearly King Solomon'ed a little girl who walked across my path when I bent down to pick up my coffee. Here we are, wearing our flags:
(more pics in the gallery of some of the Fetchies we saw on the day)
Our running is going pretty well - just keeping it light for now, although I crept up to 5 miles on Tuesday. We did a very nurdling 3 this morning, taking in the polling station, a step son, and a mother-in-law along the route. Legs are feeling mostly ok, and I'm looking forward to the next challenge now.
I also went to the dentist on Wednesday about my gammy wisdom tooth. It was my first visit to a decent dentist in *coughs* years, despite Katie's best efforts to encourage me. My teeth (aside from the wonky wisdom tooth) are showing no signs of decay (I've only got one filling, in the wisdom tooth), but my gums need a bit of attention - I have grade 1 gingivitis :-/ So I got a telling off, a flossing and interdental brushing tutorial, and told to buy a decent electric toothbrush. And despite my first attempt at all of the above taking close on 20 minutes, I'm not doing too badly now, so fingers crossed things will improve. I've no idea what timescale is involved when it comes to reversing gingivitis, but I'm going back in on the 12th to have the wisdom tooth taken out, so I'm hoping to get a sticker for my efforts. If I could persuade the dentist to become a Fetchie, I'd get two stickers!
Site news - I'm doing some background stuff that will make it a bit easier for me to eventually get proper listings for duathlons and timed races. The automatic post to Facebook seems to be broken - my code hasn't changed for a few years, so I'm imagining that FB have made some sort of update.
And finally, it's Katie's birthday today, so we're off for a feed at lunch time Toodles.

One week on from our marathon! Thank you for all the lovely comments about the blog, the vLog, and the race. It was a great day, and I've even been searching for marathons in the race finder. Not entered any, mind you
Overall, the recovery is going well. I ran on Tuesday, in my fancy new shirt - a gentle three mile victory lap round the lake; then on Thursday - another three, accompanying Katie on her own return to running; and then a very stop-starty 4.5 on Friday with a few of my beginners. During the week, they'd been chatting to another established group of runners at the school, who had invited them on their 'bluebell run'. I'd planned to do their first ever speed session, but was happy to see them getting stuck in with the other runners. The result was I ended up being the only bloke in a group of ten women The best bit was seeing my newbies reclassify everything they'd run thus far as "not hilly at all". The worst bit was that one of my newbies has tweaked something in her calf as she ran up one of the steeper slopes towards the end of the run Fingers crossed that it'll be ok.
Here are the bluebells, which were worth the trip - you could see them from about half a mile away:
In running terms, I'm thinking that I'll break my training into four week chunks now, with the aim of doing a 10k in about 12 weeks. This chunk (which started on Monday) is gonna be all about recovery. No pressure at all this week or next, and the plan is to come out of it with a long run that's back up to about 8-10 miles; and a mileage that's back to about 20 in the fourth week.
***
The dog has been for his quarterly mow - he was started to get a bit raggedy around the edges, and probably struggling to see. Now he's all soft and pillow-like (see later in blog) and looks about half the width:
The boy has been to rugby training this morning, and is getting a bit excited about his first match tomorrow. Me too! He did pretty well in the session, and coped pretty well with being on the wrong end of a winding. I was amazed at the way some of the other dads yell complaints at their sons all the way through. I saw a survey recently (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/32336058) that suggested it was one of the reasons why kids get put off sport at an early age :-/
This afternoon, I think the tiredness from last weekend came back for another bite. I'd had quite a headache since I woke up, and had three separate naps between 2pm and 5pm, stretched out on the sofa using the dog as a pillow. He's ace - he really doesn't mind
Also looking forward to Monday. Katie and I are heading over to the Milton Keynes marathon to do a little Fetchpoint, as a 'pay-it-forward' thank you to everyone who supported us at London. We have Fetch flags, and backpacks to mount them on (same format as the RW pacers), so in theory we can march about the place being all Fetching. We may even have some music And it'll be my first opportunity to wear these in public (best viewed with a pin-hole camera):
Right, time for bed. Boing!

Introducing people to running is about so much more than introducing them to running, isn't it? I remember taking our Newbies out to the bluebell wood about week 6 when they were capable of run/walking that far and back, most of them had never seen it before and it was like a whole new world opening up11:16pm, 2nd May 2015 -

How do you get custom designed shoes like that? Did I miss that explanation somewhere down vvv there? By the way, vLogs are great, but you have to copy everything you say in them into a traditional written blog (full transcript with accompanying stage directions, mind) for those of us who read at work, but can't view. Thank you! GHappyG(rrr)10:44am, 4th May 2015
